An image is 18× cheaper than a video. Re-roll here, not there. Move on only if all four are true:
The subject is unmistakable
It reads as the thing you’re selling, not a vague impression of it.
The light has direction
You can point at where it’s coming from. Flat ambient = the CGI look.
It has a grade
A deliberate colour cast, not default saturation.
It looks shot, not rendered
Depth of field, real falloff, imperfection.
Never try to fix it in the video
The clip inherits the still’s composition, lighting and grade. A weak keyframe becomes a weak 36-credit video. Fix the prompt and re-roll the image.
Your prompt doesn’t describe the video — it selects which slice of the model’s training data gets averaged. These tags sit on AI art and cheap renders, so asking for them requests the look you’re trying to avoid.
